Delivery process
A controlled path from uncertainty to a working result.
The exact activities vary by project. Each engagement defines the milestone, responsibilities, dependencies, assumptions, risks, review points, and acceptance criteria before the related work is committed.
01Discover
Clarify the problem, users, current process, existing software or equipment, constraints, priorities, dependencies, and intended outcome.
02Architect
Define the system boundary, interfaces, technical options, responsibilities, major risks, proposed milestones, and acceptance criteria.
03Prototype
Test the most uncertain or high-risk assumptions with the smallest implementation that can produce useful evidence.
04Build
Develop the agreed software, hardware, firmware, connectivity, automation, or simulation milestone through reviewable increments and controlled changes.
05Validate
Integrate the required components, test the result against the agreed criteria, record defects and limitations, and document what was actually verified.
06Improve
Plan deployment, handover, support, maintenance, optimisation, or the next defined release using the evidence gathered during delivery.
